In ENG-653, the student and mentor create an Independent Study Plan for the enrichment semester, which includes five extensive assignments of original writing. ENG-653 is not a required course but is an elective students may take to work on a project, or to work in another area of concentration, if an application is accepted by faculty in that area. Students submit midsession and end-of-independent-study evaluations.
