NURS-806: Genetics, Genomics and Population Health

this course covers the basics of genetics along with modes of inheritance, family pedigree construction and aalysis, and recognition of common genetic conditions. Application of genetic principles in healthcare will be emphasized including pharmacogenomics, genetic applications in diagnostic testing and gene therapies as it applies to populations. Ethical and legal implications of population and genomic based care will also be covered.
