Admission Requirements for Graduate Programs

For admission to a graduate program, an applicant must have completed requirements for a bachelor's degree (and, if applicable, master’s degree which may or may not include master’s and/or doctoral-level transfer credits) from a regionally accredited institution of higher education and/or a higher education institution accredited by an accrediting body recognized by the United States Department of Education (https://ope.ed.gov/dapip/#/home) and/or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (https://www.chea.org/) unless the graduate program’s program-specific accreditor requires a student to hold a bachelor’s or graduate degree from an institution that is regionally-accredited. In addition, the applicant must submit all of the following to the Admissions Office:

  1. Completed application for admission to graduate program
  2. Payment of the non-refundable application fee
  3. Official transcripts* of all undergraduate and graduate college work completed
  4. Official GMAT, GRE or MAT scores as required by the program (see program admission requirements)
  5. Interview and letters of recommendation as specified by the program (see program admission requirements)
  6. Other program-specific requirements as identified in program admission materials

* Official transcripts are those sent directly to Spalding from the issuing institution. Any transcript marked "issued to student" or any transcript that is hand delivered by the student is not considered an official transcript.

Declaration of Previous College Attendance: Applicants must declare all previous college attendance. Applicants who fail to disclose previous college attendance on the application for admission and/or fail to submit transcripts are subject to denial or cancellation of admission or dismissal from the University.

Financial Aid and Default: An applicant will not be admitted to Spalding University if he/she is in default on a federal student loan or campus based loan program (Perkins Loan or Federal Nursing Loan) and must not owe a refund on a government-sponsored loan or grant.

For accreditation information about a particular institution, please look up the institution on the US Department of Education (USDE) Database of Accredited Postsecondary Institutions and Programs (DAPIP): https://ope.ed.gov/dapip/#/home
