ENG-505: Advanced Creative Writing
3 credit hours
Advanced Creative Writing serves students who wish to receive appropriate graduate level instruction in creative writing but are not currently admitted as students of the Spalding University low-residency Master of Fine Arts in Writing Program. With guidance from a mentor, the student completes a semester study plan which includes the exchange of four packets of original creative writing by the student. Each packet includes no more than 25 pages of student writing. The mentor provides critique and instruction to the students in a written or recorded response. Students complete a midsemester and end of semester evaluation. This course cannot be substituted for any MAW or MFA. ENG605 does not count toward MFA graduation.
