This course is an overview of the dynamics of child abuse and neglect. It focuses on the possible causes, manifestations, and prevention techniques found in cases of child maltreatment. The role of the mandated reporter as well as the laws and legislation regarding child maltreatment are examined. Models of intervention are also emphasized.
