KSA-100: Color and Design I

3 credit hours
This course is designed to train the eye and hand while giving students a working knowledge of the concepts and processes involved in visual thinking. It is an introduction to the formal elements of art with an emphasis on color. Projects approach color in terms of phenomenology (how color “appears” to change depending on relationships with other colors), observation, and expressiveness. Playfulness and rigor will set the pace.
