KSAM-320: Digital Video II

3 credit hours
A continuation of Digital Video I - Students will work on video composition skills and advanced production techniques both individually and in groups. Assigned readings will engage students in sophisticated contemporary thinking involving cinema today. Students will be introduced to Adobe After Affects in order to incorporate masking and animation techniques into their FinalCut / Premiere editing practices. Students will work on site-specific projections and other experimental uses of film throughout the course. A final project will include creating a digital film short, either live-action or a combination of live-action and animation, which will involve a group-initiated crew to produce and execute.
