This course provides an introduction to forensic science which is the application of scientific methodology to criminal and civil processes. The following topical areas will be examined: crime scene investigation, forensic DNA, forensic chemistry, trace evidence, firearms examination, fingerprints, arson, and drug analysis among others. The responsibilities of field and laboratory personnel will be differentiated.
