Learning and Behavior Disorders Program
The program of preparation for the Bachelor of Science in Education, Learning and Behavior Disorders (grades P-12), and for the initial certificate for teaching, requires a minimum of 120 hours.
Students are required to successfully complete a minimum of 350 field experience hours in assigned school settings. At least half of these hours must be in diverse settings, including one with special needs students.
During the clinical practice experience, candidates will spend approximately half of the required experience at the elementary level and half of the required experience at the middle or high school level.
