CJ-291: Special Topics in Crime Correlates and Resolutions

This course examines selected and emerging issues related to the causes of crime and effective responses within the criminal justice system and community settings. Topics vary by session and may include contemporary research on risk factors, prevention strategies, intervention programs, and evidence-based practices aimed at reducing crime and victimization. Emphasis is placed on critical analysis of policy implications and the practical application of theory to real-world justice challenges. This course can be used to satisfy University Studies requirements.
