CW-450: Senior Seminar
3 credit hours
Provides a culmination of the student's previous course work toward the degree. This course is designed to help students synthesize their writing experiences, analyze works of literature with a focus on craft, produce a long-form final creative project, and engage in reflective self-assessment emphasizing their understanding of writing practices. The course concludes with a creative thesis defense before the director of the creative writing program and an evaluator from outside the program. The seminar also serves as an introduction to graduate study.
Prerequisite: Completion of at least 27 hours in the major
