The focus of this course includes exploration of elements of leadership including leadership theory. The difference between management and leadership is stressed along with discussion of management roles that lead to collaboration among the healthcare team members which lead to improved patient outcomes. Basics of healthcare finance will be addressed with emphasis on budgets and cost effectiveness analysis.
