NURS-677: Clinical Skills and Procedures I

2 credit hours
This course focuses on diagnostic reasoning skills as applied to complex cases that are not body system specific. Direct faculty observation of simulated clinical encounters is part of the experience. Techniques for performing common diagnostic tests and primary care procedures are taught. The student will have hands-on experience with selected procedures, including suturing, EKG interpretation, and X-ray reading. The course is taken concurrently with NURS 673 Clinical Practicum I
