This course will survey the beginning of Modern art through Postmodernism (from the mid-19th century to the present) and the art of recent years, including painging, sculpture, architecture, and photography as well as recent developments in installation art, performance art, digital art, and conceptual art. The focus will cover art from the United States as well as art from cultures and artistic traditions outside of the U.S. This course can be used to satisfy University Studies requirements.
