EDD-883: Planning and Evaluating Research

Provides students with the skills necessary to design empirical research studies in the field of education. Includes planning and use of surveys, correlation and experimental research methods. Course topics include: purposes and types of educational research; steps in conducting research and preparing a dissertation proposal; selection of research questions for investigation, variables and their functions, and literature reviews. The course promotes use of ethical research strategies
