US-100: Successful Student Strategies

This course is designed to help students transition into the role of being a college student, cope with the demands of the first year, and enhance the opportunity for success. A focus on enhanced self-understanding includes exploration of locus of control, learning styles, personality, study skills, financial awareness, and time management. A focus on college expectations focuses on etiquette, catalog policies, advising basics, and academic progress. Students will become part of a community of learners. This course can be used to satisfy University Studies requirements.
Students who transfer in 24 credit hours or more are not required to take this course but may. To meet the number of credit hours required for graduation, however, the student must take an alternate course to fulfill the requirement.
