SW-310: Oppression and Privilege

This course is designed to prepare social work students to work with diverse groups in society. Using cultural, historical and contemporary contexts, students will examine the role, function, maintenance, and effects of privilege and oppression. Additionally, students will develop self-awareness of one’s own personal values, beliefs, and behaviors and how their professional practice with diverse groups is impacted.
