Learning and Behavior Disorders Program
The program of preparation for the Bachelor of Science in Education in Learning and Behavior Disorders (grades P-12), and for the initial certificate for teaching, requires a minimum of 120 hours.
Students are required to participate in 345 hours of field-based service learning activities that are conducted in public or parochial schools. At least half of these hours must be in diverse settings.
In the clinical experience/student teaching, candidates spend approximately half of the total 14 weeks in classrooms at the elementary level and at the middle or high school level.
