KSAP-220: Painting II

3 credit hours
Students will further examine and practice the basics of painting. Establishing pictorial space through drawing with paint, seeing and developing abstract relationships of color, shape and rhythm, and the overall dynamic of the perceptual response will be practiced. Students work primarily from observation to gain the personal, sensual dynamic experience of the painting process. Conceptual venues will also be explored to deepen students’ relationship with their work and find personal content. A broader exposure to multicultural, and historical to contemporary work in painting, will stimulate and open students' awareness to possibilities.
