ART-380: Sound Art

3 credit hours

This course is designed to provide a basic framework for utilizing sound in a variety of media and as an independent art form. This course will focus on creative projects while establishing a common technical and aesthetic vocabulary through in-class demonstrations and discussions. Works created will utilize digital, analog, and mechanical media and processes to explore sound as an art form. Throughout the course students will read about the history of sound in Art and explore its use both in and as Art.
