KSAG-372: Color

3 credit hours

This course investigates the perception of color and how it is used in print and digital media. Students will focus on the effective use of color in the context of design problems. The course will instruct students to create color both with physical media, such as paint or fabricated materials in addition to the computer. Students will also explore the psychological, symbolic, and cultural associations of color. Specific focus is placed on the attributes of color, color interaction, and the impact of color on composition in both print and web. Usage,
implementation of color, and key color systems and terminology used in the field of Graphic Design will also be discussed.

Prerequisite courses:KSA-101KSA-111KSA-120KSA-130KSA-141 or consent of the instructor.
