Interdisciplinary Bachelor of Arts in Humanities
The School of Liberal Studies offers a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Humanities comprised of Art, English, and Religious Studies/Philosophy. The Interdisciplinary Humanities major emphasizes the study of Art, English, Religion, and Philosophy through extensive opportunities for reading, writing, evaluating, and producing a variety of visual and written texts in the material, spiritual, intellectual, social, and artistic realms. Committed to the interconnectedness of disciplinary areas and methods; a global approach to the study of cultures; conceptual, methodological and problem solving abilities; research skills; and adaptability, flexibility, and creativity, the faculty of the Humanities degree provide leadership and direction to students interested in a liberal education.
A degree in the Humanities develops an advanced level of competence in the use of language and the exercise of critical thought, providing a basis for a variety of career options and professional choices.
