NURS-645: Practicum in Primary Care of Children and Adolescents
2 credit hours
Focuses on the physical and psychosocial aspects of health from infancy through adolescence with emphasis on wellness, management of common health problems, and health education. Clinical conferences explore selective patient health problems to enhance critical thinking skills. The role of the nurse practitioner as a caring primary care provider in a variety of settings is emphasized. The course focuses on providing healthcare to medically underserved communities (includes 210 clinical hours).
