NURS-646: Practicum in Primary Care of Adults
2 credit hours
Focuses on the physical and psychological aspects of adult health with emphasis on wellness, management, of common health problems, and health education. Clinical conferences explore selective patient health problems to enhance ethical decision making skills. The role of the nurse practitioner as a caring primary care provider in a variety of adult settings is emphasized. The course focuses on providing care to medically underserved communities (includes 210 clinical hours).
