NURS-680: Health Promotion and Reproductive Health

This course emphasizes principles of health promotion and disease prevention throughout the lifespan. The pathophysiology, diagnosis, and management of common reproductive health problems are emphasized. Prenatal care of all women is examined. This course explores the impact of culture and economic deprivation on health care behaviors pertinent to adolescents and women. Through the use of case studies, the student will be expected to synthesize and organize care within specific parameters (concurrent illness, complications, medication allergies, etc.).
