1. Application material is received and evaluated by the academic unit involved.
2. The academic unit makes its recommendation to the Graduate Committee.
3. The Graduate Committee evaluates the recommendation and makes its recommendation based on the available evidence and the pertinent standards.
4. The Provost informs the student and academic unit of the admission decision.

Admission to graduate study at Spalding University does not imply admission to candidacy for a doctoral degree.
