PHSC-109: Weather and Climate
3 credit hours
This is an introductory course in meteorology for non-majors. It provides a general and practical understanding of weather phenomena without the need for a strong math-science background. The course emphasizes the observational nature of the science and the impacts it has on life and society. Topics include atmospheric composition and structure, Earth's energy budget, temperature variations, clouds and precipitation, pressure and winds, the general circulation, and air mass/frontal weather. This course can be used to satisfy University Studies requirements.
