Case management has become a key activity in the successful treatment of individuals with alcohol and/or other drug dependency. Research on addictive behaviors indicates the effectiveness of case management across the continuum of care (i.e., intervention, retention, and aftercare). Students will develop advanced knowledge and skills used in providing case management and will explore the concept of Recovery Management. This course provides training for the core function of case management and meets the requirement for facilities licensed as an Alcohol and Other Drug Entity by the State of Kentucky for case management training.
