NURS-664: Nurse Practitioner Clinical Practicum I
3 credit hours
This course emphasizes the clinical application of health promotion, education, and therapeutic nursing interventions as a primary health care provider. Emphasis on care of the family unit that contains children and adolescents. Seminar experiences will include diagnostic reasoning skills and select hands-on procedures necessary to provide care for pediatric patients. In addition, growth and development and factors that strengthen the family unit or put the family unit at stress will be addressed. Collaboration with other health care providers is encouraged and facilitated. (Students complete 210 precepted clinical hours.)
