NURS-665: Nurse Practitioner Clinical Practicum II

This course emphasizes the clinical application of health promotion, patient and family education, and therapeutic nursing intervention as a primary health care provider. Emphasis is on the care of the family unit that contains adolescent, adult or geriatric members. Seminar experiences will include diagnostic reasoning skills and select hands-on procedures necessary to provide care for adult patients. In addition, life transition and risk factors for families with adolescent, adult, geriatric patients is addressed. Collaboration with other health care providers is encouraged and facilitated. (Students complete 210 precepted clinical hours.)
