This course is designed to familiarize the nurse with the broader context of the healthcare system within which the nurse works. Using knowledge from nursing and the physical and social sciences, the methodology used to establish a plan of care in conjunction with a client or population to meet their Health Promotion or Illness and Disease Management needs. The plan is logical, systematic, achievable, and oriented toward specific outcomes.
