AAS-349: Praxis in African American Studies
3 credit hours
This course offers students an opportunity to investigate issues that affect African Americans in the Louisville community. Students will work with selected community organizations to work toward negotiations on legislative matters. They will also network with grassroots leaders in the community to research and solve social ills. The crux of the course will be learning about specific problems around the city of Louisville and advocating on behalf of African Americans with established organizations. Students will follow the SLS internship model for their academic requirements for this course.
