ART-145: Digital Media & Art I

This introductory course teaches students the foundational technical skills and concepts of digital art making. Students will create still, moving, and vector-based imagery in this course. Through artmaking, discussion and viewings, readings, and looking at art, students will gain an understanding of digital culture and its connection to social, aesthetic and theoretical issues. An essential component of this course is personal artistic expression—projects will be developed around experimentation and innovation in digital imaging and artmaking. This course can be used to satisfy University Studies requirements.
