NURS-508: Clinical Practice Transition
1-3 credit hours
Explores concepts critical to complex health needs health promotion, disease prevention, and community-focused health. An emphasis is placed on theory-based nursing practice and research utilization. Discussions will take place within the context of alternative health care delivery systems including, but not limited to, capitated care, managed care, and subcontracted clinical arrangements. Students will apply this knowledge in a practice setting.
Prerequisite: Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university; Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, at the discretion of the instructor (MSN program faculty).
