NURS-638: Applied Pharmacology

Addresses the study of drug therapy used in the treatment of medical conditions commonly encountered by a nurse practitioner in a variety of primary care settings. The focus is on the critical thinking skills used to prescribe and monitor drug therapy appropriate to specific patient situations. Emphasis is on the importance of teaching the patient safe use of prescribed medications.
Prerequisite courses:NURS-656, at the discretion of the instructor (MSN Program Faculty).
