SW-607: Professional Foundations for Advanced Social Work Practice & Writing

In this bridge course, learners build upon their BSW/BSSW background, discussing and refining essential components of social work and social work education, with specific attention given to the components of practice at the MSW level. In addition, learners will explore the core writing skills required for success in graduate education and advanced practice. The unique hallmarks of the graduate programs at the School of Social Work will be introduced, specifically, integrative practice, critical thinking, cultural humility and social justice.
