The course will review the foundations and current use of psychological testing with a focus on the technological and methodological principles involved. Primary emphasis is on the psychometric concepts underlying current assessments and on the implications of psychometric estimates such as reliability coefficients. Both Classical Test Theory and newer approaches such as Item Response Theory will be covered.
