CHEM-106: Chemistry for the Allied Health Services
3 credit hours
The course covers the basic principles of general, organic, and biological chemistry. A central theme in the course involves the study of chemistry as it relates to life processes, including structure and function of biological macromolecules, with an emphasis on critical thinking and problem solving skills. Students registered in MATH104 may not register for CHEM106. Enrollment is limited to Nursing and Occupational Therapy majors except by permission of the instructor. This course does satisfy the University Studies Physical Science requirement. This course does not count toward a major in Natural Science and does not satisfy entry requirements for Medical, Dental, or Pharmacy schools.
