NURS-325: Nursing I

Focuses on the basic principles and concepts of professional nursing practice including: patient safety, care and comfort, mobility, therapeutic communication, culture, oxygenation, basic nutritional needs and dietary modifications. Health promotional needs of the client and the family transitioning back to the community are discussed. This course will also guide the student through the beginning concepts of pharmacological principles and medication administration.
The clinical practicum is conducted in campus laboratories and selected in community agencies.
