EDR-615: Literacy Assessment and Intervention

This course has been designed to support the Reading Endorsement Program which leads to an endorsement in Reading, grades P-12. The course provides Teacher Leader candidates for the current Reading Endorsement with information and experience required for application of informal assessment of K-12 students' literacy skills for planning and measuring results of appropriate literacy interventions. Best practices in literacy intervention are presented, evaluated and implemented, as well. An instructor-supervised 50 clock hour practicum is required.
