Each graduate student is required to meet annually with their academic advisor. Psy.D. students entering the program declaring an emphasis area will be assigned an advisor. First-year students entering with a bachelor's degree may have, if desired, a year to decide on emphasis area. By the end of that first year, they must declare an emphasis.

Students entering with a master's degree will choose an emphasis area upon beginning the program.
