MATH-104: Intermediate Concepts in Algebra

3 credit hours

Various topics that are involved in the study of algebra will be examined in this course. This course will cover the following topics: linear equations, systems of linear equations, functions, function notation, exponents, polynomials, arithmetic with polynomials, factoring polynomials, and polynomial equations. Applications of the aforementioned algebraic topics will be considered as time permits. This course does not satisfy any University Studies requirement.

Prerequisite: Successful completion of USM-090 or sufficient math placement score or sufficient standardized test score as published in the Mathematics Placement Policy in the Spalding University Catalog.
