This advanced course will explore the competencies needed to work collaboratively and cooperatively as a member of an integrated healthcare team. In keeping with the APA’s proposed curriculum, the seminar includes modules on interprofessional education and healthcare, integrated primary care, population health, ethics, leadership, quality improvement, health care finance, and health policy and advocacy. Focus on core competencies for interprofessional practice will be covered and include values/ethics, roles/responsibilities, communication, and teamwork.
