NURS-425: Nursing III: Advanced Medical Surgical Nursing

Designed to introduce the student to complex health illness in the adult, this course prepares students to care for patients experiencing acute exacerbation and sequele of health problems and traumatic events. In addition, this course will continue to develop knowledge of pharmacology and nutrition needs of patient experiencing the conditions presented. Aspects of Health promotional needs of the client and the family transitioning back to the community are also discussed.
The clinical practicum will be conducted in various emergent and acute care inpatient settings and include simulated laboratory scenarios.
