ART-265: Typography II

3 credit hours

This course is a deeper exploration into Typography as both an expressive medium and as a functional tool in communicating messages in both graphic design and art contexts. This class will involve complex problems challenging students' command of typographic hierarchy and layout. Projects may include three-dimensional, sequential page or time-based assignments, not limited to motion typography, creation of their own typefaces/ treatments, and a thorough engagement with the Student’s own writing. This course can be used to satisfy University Studies requirements. 

Prerequisites: ART-155 ART-165
