ENG-605: Advanced Creative Writing

3 credit hours

Advanced Creative Writing serves students who wish to receive graduate level instruction in creative writing but are not currently admitted as students of the School of Creative and Professional Writing. With guidance from a mentor, the student completes an Independent Study Plan, which includes the exchange of four packets of original creative writing by the student. Each packet includes no more than 25 pages of student writing. The mentor provides critique and instruction in a written or recorded response. Students complete a midsemester and end-of-semester evaluation. This course cannot be substituted for any Graduate Certificate, MAW, or MFA course. ENG605 does not count toward graduation from any program of the School of Writing.
