School of Business

The School of Business provides professional education for students who are interested in careers in business. The core business courses present content from all functional areas of business: management, marketing, accounting, business ethics and finance. These core courses, which are required of all business majors, are characterized by small classes and personalized instruction with emphasis on written and oral communication skills, group learning, technology-related skills, human resource skills, global dimensions of business, and resolution of ethical problems. The curriculum is further enhanced by a strong liberal arts core.

The School of Business also strongly encourages students to experience the environment of business through internships. Internships are available in areas appropriate to students' professional development needs.

The School of Business provides the necessary flexibility to allow business students to design their programs in accordance with their individual professional goals. Within the structure of the Business Administration program, students choose a concentration that provides focused study in their area of interest.

The School of Business is professionally accredited by the International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE).

Students majoring in another area may pursue an Associate's degree in Business or minors in Business Administration, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, or Accounting.
