University Structure and Degree Programs

Spalding University's three academic colleges include twelve Schools and the College of Education. Spalding University offers degrees at the associate, baccalaureate, master's and doctoral levels in addition to post-baccalaureate and post-master's certificates and education endorsements and certificates. The instructional time for a typical 3-credit hour course is 360 minutes per week. Students have the option to earn up to twenty credit hours each in the Fall semester and Spring semester, but must complete at least twelve credit hours of coursework in each of these semesters to be considered full-time. Students taking less than twelve credit hours in a single semester are considered part-time.

Graduate programs are offered in a variety of academic year structures, including semesters and evening/weekend delivery options. Graduate program applicants are encouraged to visit the entry for their program in this Catalog for details of the academic year structure for their intended program of study. Applicants are also encouraged to contact the head of their graduate program for specific details.
