In keeping with Spalding University's spirit of service and the tradition of collaborative commitment to the development of the total person, the College of Education has as its mission the preparation of educators who possess intellectual understanding, holistic perspective, and professional skills to lead others to the maximal use of their potential for lifelong learning in a multicultural society.

Accreditation
All programs listed for initial certification/licensure (undergraduate and graduate) and for the advanced level are accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE), 2010 Massachusetts Avenue NW, Suite 500, Washington, DC, 20036, and by the Kentucky Education Professional Standards Board. The interdisciplinary doctoral program is not a part of the NCATE accreditation but is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
