SW-346: Human Behavior in the Social Environment I
3 credit hours
This first class in this two-course sequence strengthens the biopsychosocial-spiritual knowledge base for generalist social work practice. Specifically, this course looks at evidence-based theories and concepts about human development across the life span in the various contexts in which persons live (e.g., families, groups, neighborhoods, communities, organizations, communities, and our global society). This course critiques these explanations from diversity perspectives and social work values and ethics, applying theories and concepts to practice.
